The last picture of the bunch is hilarious, the rest....
Well, it's animated ok but not drawn very well. There isn't any drama/cool factor or humor, right up until that last frame. Not the last moment, but the last drawing.
Don't think it should hold pride of place up the front just because it references NG.

Yeah, well, what is there to say really? This game has the same pinnacle of design and unique presentation that all your games do. It's great.
Two things make it stand out though. One is the difficulty. This game is second only to Meatboy there. Definitely one of your hardest games. That's not bad, it keep's me coming back, but it's worth noting.
Next is atmosphere. Damn is this game ever creepy. It's not "Boo!" horror or not even "This is scary", but the comments of the face, the music, the graphics, the nature of the puzzles. It all adds up to something you don't want to dwell on for too long or you get the chills. Hearing messages from your future self describing all the horrible things that are going to happen is just great. Subtle, quiet horror.
My only problem with it is that it's hard enough to stop me from unlocking the next piece of sweet sweet story, but whatever, I'm slowly beating it. Stage 29/33 now. Time to power on through!
5/5, 10/10.

This is alright, even if some are hard to follow and the shovel guy is a cheating prick.
The best one by far? Hyun in my opinion. Everything about that one is epic, it just kicks ass too damn hard to be legal.

This was an ok game. My one problem was this.
Black & White setting, computer voice, test subject #121. Christ, try some originality. When Shift ripped off Portal's etting, it was at least ripping something off that hadn't been ripped off yet. Enough lab games! Enough voices directing the character! Enough Black and friggin' White!
Game itself was pretty good, nice difficulty.
Author's Response:
I wrote the first line of code for this game within minutes of finishing Portal, and I wont lie and say I wasn't influenced by it.
I also wont lie and say I wasn't influenced by Shift either. Shift was awesome.
Black and White was mainly because I had a severe lack of an artist and barely managed to make the small amount of art that is in the game. (I've gotten better recently though and my next game will feature what I think is magnificent artwork)

First of all 10/10 and 5/5. Now that we have that out of the way, we can get on to the real review. I've got to say, this is probably my favourite point and click on newgrounds. When I first played a point and click game, I thought it was great! But over time I started to get sick of playing point and clicks. Especially these "I have amnesia and I'm in a laboratory" stories. When I saw a point and click game, I usually got excited, but my excitement was crushed like some fat guys dream of being a singer after he was booed of the stage of open mic night!
But this game renewed my hope in point and click games. Honestly, I like the creepy atmosphere. The story has me really thinking, but I swear to god, if this turns out to be another of those "You were the prototype experiment and those things are all failures", or if there's a big finally where you have to fight a big "Improved" experiment of yourself, there will be blood. But I doubt that will happen. Anyway, great game and I cant wait for the sequel.
P.S: Is this game based around Penumbra Overture? This game reminds me of it.
Author's Response:
Thanks for the review (better re-write my storyline eh? ;-))
I dont know what the penumbra overture is...I'm pretty much making this up as I go along lol ;-))

Awesome game, it was a step up from the rise of a knight. 3 things I don't really like is that: (a) every single blacksmith and wizard sells the same things. Try to even them all out to have different gear instead of having some piss poor blacksmith in the middle of nowhere selling a devastating weapon.
(b) I don't really like the names of the games. I mean they are quite cool, but your giving away the twist in the story. The first game was called rise of a knight and at the end of that you become a knight. So if this one is called the rise of a king then it means you become a king. But there is already a king so that means he has to die for you to become king. And there you go. I have already found a twist in the name alone.
(c) What happened to the troll?!? He was a giant hulking monster in the first one, but now he looks like a muppet thats been left in a washing machine. There is not even a reason to it, it just happens!
Well, those are the three problems, but by this point, i am just looking for faults in the game. Besides, it is still very fun to play.
P.S: Thanks for getting rid of those bloody spiders! They were really annoying.
Author's Response:
Thanks for the great review!
The reason why all the blacksmiths sell the same stuff is because this was the first and only time I've ever made a "shop" in a game and it was doing my head in. I agree that different shops should sell different things, that would have made it much better. I'll remedy that in future games...
Sorry if you didnt like the name of the two games, I like them even though they give away the endings. I think it's the journey that counts, haha :) Oh, and the troll, well, I dunno... I wanted to draw a different one and ended up with a washed-out muppet :)
Thanks again for the review and the ten!

These make no sense at all, but they are awesome. The have good ideas, spooky situations and nasty monsters. They are the best horror flashes I've seen for a long, long time. I hope that these bizarre happenings are explained in episode 3, and I really hope there's an episode 4.

This game is very good. There really was not much of a difference between this game and the last game, but I liked all the same. PVP was fun and I loved all the fights. I also enjoyed The Tunnel of Illusions. I only had 2 problems with the game. The bosses were also cool (I especially liked Clemons.)
I only had 2 problems with the game. First of all I hate the Baron. He does not serve a purpose, he is just an annoying boss fight. In combat and character. I mean sure you kill him and all, and that's satisfying and everything, but he better not break into Sonny 3 and redecorate with fluorescent pink wallpaper. ;)
The other problem was unbalanced classes. You either take Biological tank and zip through all the levels, or you take the psychological class and get one shotted by everything. At first, the class was hard to get used to, but eventually I learned good tactics managed to defend myself. But in dystopia in the fight with two blood hounds, no matter what i do, the fight opens with the two of them killing me instantly. It's a bit unfair.
In conclusion I very much liked the game. Even with those two problems above, the good points still outweigh the bad. But really, this sequel kept the name of the Sonny game good, and that's all that really matters.

No. Everything about this off besides the squid noises. If advise the Fear Hole to anyone in search of Lovecraftian stuff on Newgrounds
Author's Response:
I understand what you're trying to say, but your English is a little flawed.
I wouldn't doubt if there was a better Lovecraft flash on Newgrounds, but I'd say this is a pretty decent one. Sorry you didn't like it.
Would you mind to give some constructive criticism? I'm not rating yours or other negative reviews useless because of the low score, but because not one of the negative reviewers have the common courtesy to give me a review that isn't pure opinion without anything to back it up.
Tell me what I can do to make it better or don't bother telling me it's bad.

There is a GREAT amount of glitches in this game. In the first encounter with a patrol bot outside the tutorial I slid into it. Then my internet page stopped responding for a second or two. After it came back on, it just should the exploding effect over and over again. It's a good game to be sure. The story was good and in-depth and the art style was also great. I especially liked the tube gunners (creepy!)
But my two main problems are these: The glitches (though thats already been covered) and the genre. It's like you could not make up your mind. There is some opponents and theres slick moves (action). There's also switches, pressure plates and strategy (puzzle). But at the same time there is the atmosphere (horror).
The game is very good, but just fix the glitches and but some work into one type of game play.
